Warner Bros have announced some time ago (but I wasn't really paying any attention, so I just found out a couple of days ago) that the sixth movie in the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" has been DELAYED and will now be released next summer (July 17, 2009 to be more precise), instead of the 21'st of November.
Here it what they said about it:
"Our reasons for shifting 'Half-Blood Prince' to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment," says Alan Horn, the studio's president and COO.
"Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers' strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films--changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move 'Half-Blood Prince' to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer."
Oh, COME ON!!!11oneeleven :-(

Two Harry Potter 7 movies
"In the end, there can be only one!" - NOT!
The seventh Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be made into two movies, the Los Angeles Times reported, to the probable dismay of hardcore Highlander fans (yes, that's where the quote came from!).
The first part of the film is to be released in November 2010, with the second part coming in May 2011.
The reason for making two parts of the adventure are "purely creative". As producer David Heyman says, "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book.".
Finally, parts of the book won't be cut out! Perhaps there will be a Harry Potter movie comparable to the book it represents... (although I don't really believe that will happen, I sure hope it will)

Giving up Harry Potter harder than giving up smoking
A study found that about 10% of Harry Potter fans show symptoms of withdrawal "in just the way that drug addicts do" following the writing and publication of the seventh, and final, book.
"Depression, loss of appetite and sleeplessness" were experienced by one in every ten fans examined after finishing the last book in the series.
A further 20% admitted being on the verge of addiction and, considering the number of volumes that have been sold in the series (400 million), this could have quite an impact.Professor Rudski, of Muhlenberg College, Pennsylvania, said: "An addiction to a drug is no different from an addiction to Harry Potter or the Internet or pornography.
"It's not always a bad thing. There's a community that you get with Harry Potter that you don't get with heroin. "
"After finishing the series, ten per cent of fans spent over four hours a day on Potter-related activities, experiencing interference with appetite and sleep, engaging in less physical activity, having a lower sense of well-being and being more irritable." Wait! Aren't they describing your normal, day-to-day, Harry Potter geek?
Some even said: "I have nothing to live for now" or "I feel like someone close to me has died". Wow! I thought the same thing when I finished "Deathly Hallows" last summer (the part with someone close dying)...But hold on, I don't see myself going out in the middle of the night and selling "Potter dope" to under-aged people, fueling their ever-increasing need of... "Pot"...get it? Pot - Potter...Oh, never mind...

A Cheerful post
Here's how a cheerful post looks like:
- Here is a nice game that has you use mirrors and other optical devices to light some bulbs.
- Here is a funny animation of a very strange door.
- Here is a full-page animation of some anonymous line-midgets that run, jump and fall all across the screen.
- Here is a Harry Potter fan-made movie using the song "De la Sate" played by Romanian group "Fara Zahar".
- Here are some funny pictures:

Harry Potter 8
JK Rowling has stated in an interview taken a couple of days ago that she has thought about writing another - new - Harry Potter (HP) book.
The British author, whose latest novel, Harry Potter 7, has been the top-selling item on Amazon.com, revealed: "There have been times since finishing, weak moments, when I've said, 'Yeah, all right,' to the eighth novel.". (We want more of those moments :X)
"If, and it's a big if, I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. I feel like I've already told his story. But these are big ifs. Let's give it 10 years and see how we feel then." - she also said.
She already has the destinies of the surviving characters worked out in her mind - Beware, following information is considered SPOILERS! - if you have read HP7 or just want to be spoiled select the text contained in the brackets with your mouse, if not ...don't! I cannot be held accountable for any mental damage that comes from being spoiled - You have been warned! ZOMG - SPOILERS!!!111:[ "Harry and Hermione are at the Ministry of Magic, and Harry ends up leading the Auror department. Ron helps his brother George at the joke shop and does very well. Ginny becomes a professional Quidditch player and then sportswriter for the Daily Prophet." ]
Here endeth the spoilers.
Pretty cool! Who wouldn't want more "Harry Potter", even if it would be without Harry Potter himself (kind of ironic, huh?)? New HP FTW!

Dumbledore?! ZOMG!
"After reading briefly from the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," she took questions from audience members.
She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."
"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.
She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down."
Dumbledore's love, she observed, was his "great tragedy." "

Harry Potter
Another GIGANTIC mismatch is the colour of Harry's eyes. Guys, Harry's eyes are supposed to be (like Lily's) emerald green. This is immensely important, as we find out in book seven. Daniel Radcliffe's eyes are blue. He said they tried giving him contact lenses to make his eyes green, but they were bothering him. One would say : 'Come on, such an important detail can't be put aside for something like comfort, can it?' Well, seems it can...*sigh*
